Munson Healthcare dominates northern Michigan. The non-profit regional healthcare system employs 5,000+ people; covers communities in 24 counties; owns and/or operates seven hospitals, two community health centers, North Flight/ EMS air and ground transport system, Munson Home Health, and Munson Hospice and Palliative Care, plus is co-owner of Northern Michigan Supply Alliance, which manages more than $100 million in supply chain spending each year.

Now, with the recent surprise announcement that Munson might join forces with the multi-billion dollar Spectrum Health, it’s likely Munson Healthcare will get even bigger.
