EPS Targets Senior Security: Medical Alert Services Now Offered
REGION – EPS Security (EPS) has expanded its offerings to include its new EPS Medical Alert service, which pairs a state-of-the-art pendant communication device with EPS’ Central Station staff operators – a live, personalized response to senior citizens wishing to remain living independently at home.
“It was our own personal experiences that led us to take a closer look at the services currently offered to seniors aging in place, and we thought ,‘We can do better than this,’” says David Hood, director of sales and marketing at EPS Security. “We’ve been managing the safety and security of some of our state’s largest companies and institutions for nearly 60 years, and we own and manage a Central Station facility that has been recognized by the industry as one of the top in the nation. Why not make use of this expertise to offer a service that allows the safest possible environment for seniors living at home?”
Unlike most senior medical alert services, the hardware utilized by EPS Medical Alert offers coverage that expands well outside of the home – including trips to the mailbox and yard. EPS’ future plans: to provide response protocol customized to each system so that family members, neighbors and/or caretakers can be contacted in addition to medical response personnel. BN
