Local Winery Scores Gig with Pat Sajak

Are you a “Wheel Watcher?” If so, you won’t want to miss this Friday’s episode to see which contestant walks away with a six-night stay at Leelanau County's Black Star Farms.

Wheel Of Fortune, the long-running TV game show, is “Going Green” all this week and among its prizes is a get-away to the
popular – and earth-friendly – BSF bed & breakfast.

The people behind Bedandbreakfast.com contacted Black Star Farms Innkeeper Jill Ryan a while back, looking for eco-friendly B&Bs.

“Much to my surprise they chose us and the episode taped a couple weeks ago,” Ryan said.

The package, valued at just over $3,000, includes a six-night stay at the Inn and includes three dinners at the Inn utilizing home-grown produce and pasture-raised ingredients, Ryan said. The winners will also receive a private tour of the Inn’s eco-friendly farm and neighboring 13 Leelanau Peninsula vineyards and private reserve wine tasting with its wine maker.  Additional amenities include a bottle of house wine, full gourmet breakfast, reserve wine tasting in the tasting room, and use of all amenities.

The episode of Wheel of Fortune is scheduled to air at 7 pm tomorrow (Friday) on channel WPBN TV 7&4.
