Dan O’Brien has joined the staff of Burdco Incorporated as a design/build project manager. His experience includes seven years in the Chicago construction market, focusing on medical and education projects. He also brings knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Lean Construction implementation with him to northern Michigan.
Josh Schlosser has joined Environmental Protection, Inc. (EPI) in Traverse City as production manager. He is responsible for scheduling, coordinating field crews, on-site supervision, field welding, and quality control on EPI’s geomembrane installation projects throughout the country.

Eric Burtt is a licensed professional engineer and certified industrial wastewater treatment operator. He brings more than a decade of experience in engineering, following more than seven years of construction experience.
Michael Callaghan has rejoined the company as a CAD technician, with more than 15 years’ of experience providing CAD support to firms throughout the region. In addition to his CAD training, he has five years of field survey experience.
Joseph Williams is an engineer in training. He has construction observation and testing experience with the Michigan Department of Transportation.

Chalice Kopacki is the new MSW (Master of Social Work) program site coordinator.
Cathy Meyer-Looze, PhD., is the new Educational Leadership program site coordinator. Meyer-Looze is also an instructional and leadership specialist for the Traverse Bay Area Intermediate School District.
Shannon Owen, is the new director of northern Michigan programs at the Northwestern Michigan College University Center. She oversees existing programs and looks for opportunities for new community connections.
Debbie Highway has joined State Savings Bank as a mortgage originator and assistant vice president at the bank’s Traverse City Loan Center. She brings more than 20 years of banking experience to her new position, including 15 years in the Grand Traverse region.
Jackie Johnson has joined Peterson McGregor & Associates in Traverse City as a commercial account manager. She is licensed in property, casualty, life & health and brings six years of experience in the insurance industry.
Damian Lockhart has been appointed branch manager of Morgan Stanley Wealth Management in Traverse City. He oversees ten financial advisors and assists them in delivering a comprehensive range of wealth management services to local clients.

Michael J. Howe, M.D. has joined the staff of Munson Medical Center as a specialist in cardiology and interventional cardiology. He practices at Traverse Heart and Vascular.
Yelena E. Kier, D.O. has joined the staff of Munson Medical Center as a specialist in hematology/oncology. She practices at Munson Oncology.
Anthony H. Livorine, M.D. has joined the staff of Munson Medical Center with a specialty sin diagnostic radiology and neuroradiology. He practices with Grand Traverse Radiologists in Traverse City.
TJ Andrews, of the Law Office of Tracy Jane Andrews in Traverse City, was recently named by Michigan Lawyers Weekly to the Class of 2015 “Women in the Law.” She is one of 30 lawyers selected to be in this year’s Class of “Women in the Law.” Andrews works on behalf of The Watershed Center Grand Traverse Bay, volunteers with Third Level Legal Aid Clinic, and is president of the Traverse Area Women Lawyers Association.

Graves was brought in as an expert in the area of Auto No-Fault Insurance Law. He has dedicated over 20 years of his legal practice to the representation of individuals and medical service providers in their insurance claims against auto insurance carriers.
Timothy P. Smith of Smith & Johnson, Attorneys in Traverse City was a featured speaker at the recent Brain Injury Association of Michigan’s 2015 Legal Conference. Smith has been a trial attorney since 1993 and was asked to speak about litigating insurance claims against insurance companies.
