Sara Busby, longtime kitchen and bath designer and owner of Sara Busby Design in Traverse City, has been elected to the National Kitchen and Bath Association’s new leadership recruitment committee. The committee is charged with identifying, recruiting and recommending candidates to serve on the association’s board of directors, as well as other national governing bodies.

Christy Petrini, sales and leasing consultant at Mercedes-Benz of Traverse City, recently received the Mercedes-Benz 2015 Sales Consultants Laureates Award for outstanding customer satisfaction. She was one of 36 national recipients to receive the award.


Meghan Phillips Dykstra, president of Tandem Wealth Management in Traverse City, recently attended the Securities America Connect 2015 Conference. Securities America holds the Connect national conference annually for its advisors and their office staff, offering an array of professional development sessions, the latest on industry trends, best practices and the firm’s technology enhancements.

Dawn Hemming, president of hemming& in Traverse City, recently attended SagePoint Financial’s 2015 Leaders Summit. SagePoint Financial is one of the nation’s largest independent broker-dealers and the firm’s annual Leaders Summit recognizes the top 100 advisors from across the country based on sales.

Mark Lundmark has been named to Morgan Stanley’s Master’s Club, an elite group comprised of the firm’s top financial advisors. With the firm since 1986, he is a senior vice president, financial advisor, senior investment management consultant and senior portfolio director in the wealth management office in Traverse City.

Steve McGregor of Peterson McGregor & Associates in Traverse City has been recognized as a 2015 Energi Elite Producer. This award is given to Energi’s top producers for dedication to promoting energy insurance products and services, while also implementing outstanding risk management and safety practices with their policyholders.

Megan Pegan-Naylor, office and client services manager for the Raymond James Financial Services office of David Schweitzer and Genevieve Shepherd in Traverse City, has passed the Series 7 General Securities Representative Exam and Series 66 Uniform Combined Law Exam. She is now licensed in Michigan as an investment advisor representative.

Brian Ursu, an independent financial advisor affiliated with LPL Financial at Intentional Wealth Advisors in Traverse City, was recently recognized as a top financial advisor and named to LPL’s Chairman’s Club. This honor is awarded to less than 6 percent of the firm’s approximately 14,000 advisors nationwide, and is based on annual production ranked among all registered advisors supported by LPL.

Angela Haberlein Wilson has rejoined hemming& in Traverse City as an operations associate. In addition to her experience in office operations, she has a background in teaching and lean management, and she holds FINRA Series 6 registration.


Dr. Lance Beers has joined Deerhaven Family Dentistry in Traverse City and is now an associate along with Dr. Steven Niergarth and Dr. Jason Merrithew.

Dr. Kathryn Beiser, DVM has joined Companion Animal Hospital in Traverse City. She brings a specialty in integrative therapies to the practice and places heavy emphasis on nutrition, wellness and exercise therapy along with a particular interest in utilizing alternative medicine in pain management and geriatric patient care.


Matt Zerilli has joined the United Way of Northwest Michigan as its campaign and fund development manager. In this newly-created position, he is responsible for assisting with the expansion of workplace campaigns and growing new donor segments. He brings more than five years of experience in new business development, including with Britten Studios and Hagerty in Traverse City.


Erica Moon Mohr has joined the Traverse City Real Estate One family as a licensed realtor. Her background includes 15 years of pharmaceutical/biotech sales where she excelled at negotiating, facilitating, marketing and customer service.

Shaunie Prince has joined the team of real estate professionals at EXIT Realty Paramount in Traverse City. She brings 27 years of customer service experience to her new position.


Elizabeth Bott has joined the civil engineering department at Gosling Czubak in Traverse City. In her new position, Bott assumes transportation and municipal engineering responsibilities.

Jeremy DeFrance has been promoted to service manager at Laser Printer Technologies of Traverse City. He is responsible for working closely with customers to assure orders are properly taken and expedited.

Arah Johnson has been promoted to vice president of sales at Crystal Mountain in Thompsonville. She leads the group sales, conference services and the reservations department with a focus on revenue management. She first joined the resort in 1996 as a group sales manager.

Kayla Lazar has joined Greenlight Marketing in Traverse City as an account executive. She is responsible for managing day-to-day client relations, including strategic planning and execution and project management. Most recently, Lazar was an account executive with Team Detroit, working on the brand re-launch of the Lincoln Motor Company.
