Mail Boxes Etc. doubles your pleasure
TRAVERSE CITY – Your mailing options have just gotten better.
Russ Davis, area owner for Mail Boxes Etc. (MBE), reports that a second Traverse City location will be opening at 801 S. Garfield, next to the Computer Haus, in June.
Davis has been in the business 15 years and still has the enthusiasm of a brand new franchisee. “My business card says I’m an ‘area owner,’ which basically means a territorial developer. I sell the businesses. The Garfield Road franchise is the 14th store I’ve sold.”
Bill and Linda Householder, recent early retirees from Midland, are the new franchise owners of the Garfield location. They will receive training at the 14th Street store for one week and attend MBE University in San Diego for two weeks. When on their own, they’ll have the support of Davis locally, and all MBE centers worldwide.
The Garfield store will sport a new floor plan, as defined under Project MBE2000. Customers will notice new colors and graphics and new technology to “enhance efficiency for operations and improve functionality for customers.”
Besides mailboxes, services and products include packaging and shipping, copying and faxing, supplies, printing, laminating and binding. E-commerce is also on the palate.
Based in San Diego, MBE opened its first store 20 years ago. Today there are 3,500 centers in 60 countries, with revenues of over $1.4 billion annually.
Entrepreneur Magazine has rated MBE number one in the postal and business services category each year since 1996. On-going customers include Xerox, Motorola and Hewlett Packard. And they just inked a contract with e-Bay, the web’s biggest on-line auction site.
Starting in June, reach the Garfield MBE at 933-3334. BIZNEWS
