APPOINTMENTS
Al Bonney of Traverse City has been appointed Rotary District Governor for 2014-15. As governor, he coordinates the community and international service projects of the 60 clubs in the West Michigan/Wawa Canada District 6290 area. He joins 534 other Rotarians worldwide serving as a district governor this year. Bonney has been a member of the Rotary Club of Traverse City for 18 years.

FINANCIAL SERVICES

Dawn Hemming, president of hemming& in Traverse City, recently attended a SagePoint Financial forum in Santa Barbara, Calif. where a small number of top advisors from around the nation were invited to evaluate a model practice.

Kelly Junga has joined Sagemark Consulting, a division of Lincoln Financial Advisors Corp., in Traverse City as practice manger. She supports the practices of J. Erik Gruber, Christopher Millward, Autumn Chalker Soltysiak and their clients. She joins Sagemark with seven years of experience in the financial services industry.

Josh Sullivan, CPA, has been promoted to senior manager, audit and assurance department at Rehmann in Traverse City. Sullivan has been in public accounting for nine years and provides audit services to a variety of industries including manufacturing, construction, casinos, not-for-profit organizations and financial institutions.

Erika Chamberlain is a new member service specialist, responsible for opening business and personal accounts, preparing loan documents and evaluating loan requests. She works in the new regional headquarters location.

Kara Mahoney has been promoted to member service specialist, responsible for opening business and personal accounts, preparing loan documents and evaluating loan requests.

Debbie Mulready is a new member service specialist, responsible for opening business and personal accounts, preparing loan documents and evaluating loan requests. She works in the new regional headquarters location.

Judy Jewell is a new member service specialist, responsible for opening business and personal accounts, preparing loan documents and evaluating loan requests. She works in the South Airport branch.

Gwen Perenchio has transitioned from a member service representative to a phone operator. She brings a variety of customer service and sales experience.

Mae Zimmerman is a new receptionist, greeting members, answering questions and scheduling appointments at the new regional headquarters.

HEALTH CARE

Margo Francisco has been selected vice president of planning and regional collaboration for Munson Healthcare effective August 1. She replaces Kathy Garthe, who is retiring. Francisco first joined Munson Healthcare in 2012 and previously served as director of regional planning, strategy and business development.

Chris Hurley has joined the staff of FAST Physical Therapy in Traverse City. In addition to his doctorate in physical therapy, he has multiple certifications including manual physical therapist, clinical specialist in orthopaedic physical therapy, clinical specialist in sports physical therapy, and athletic trainer.

William F. Lange, M.D., hospital medicine, has relocated to iNDIGO Health Partners in Traverse City.

Derk Pronger has been named COO of Munson Medical Center, responsible for daily operations and inpatient-related departments at the hospital. He first joined the hospital in June 2012 after serving in several positions at Beaumont Health System.

Trisha Short has joined Mental Wellness Counseling in Traverse City as an early childhood counselor. She brings 20 years of expertise working with preschoolers, families and parents.

Mitch Tallent has joined the staff of FAST Physical Therapy in Traverse City. He specializes in outpatient physical therapy, home health and sports medicine.

REAL ESTATE

Dana Allen has joined Century 21 Northland in Traverse City as an agent. She specializes in residential sales with an emphasis on homes, condos, vacant land, waterfront, new construction, foreclosures and short sales. She brings seven years of experience to her new position.

Andrew Okerstrom-Koons is a new agent at Coldwell Banker Schmidt Realtors in Traverse City. He has more than 20 years of sales and management experience in the luxury fashion industry in New York City. He works out of the 402 E. Front Street office.

Trish Verellen has joined the Keller Williams – Greater Grand Traverse team of realtors. She has lived in Traverse City for the past eight years.

John Watkins has joined Real Estate One as a full time sales associate in the firm’s new Leland office at 113 N. Main Street. Watkins brings more than 30 years of experience in sales, advertising, marketing and business consulting, along with a specialization in start-ups.

Jules and Jenifer Yates with RE/MAX Bayshore Properties in Traverse City have been awarded the Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES®) designation by the Seniors Real Estate Specialist Council of the National Association of Realtors.

Jules and Jen bring more than 30 years of combined experience to RE/MAX and work as a team helping both buyers and sellers in the Grand Traverse region.

OTHER

Stacey Boyer has joined AmericInn Traverse City as executive housekeeper. She leads the housekeeping and maintenance departments of the hotel and serves on the management team for the hotel. She comes to AmericInn after working in various supervisory roles at another hotel.

Melzar Coulter, P.E., has rejoined Otwell Mawby in Traverse City as a senior geotechnical/environmental engineer. He brings more than a decade of experience in geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing and environmental consulting. He was most recently employed as the geotechnical department manager for a Grand Rapids-based firm.
